Acesso cirúrgico de canino superior impactado para colagem de artefato ortodôntico

ABSTRACT
The permanent canines are elements of extreme importance in dental occlusion. They have the longest period of development and the most tortuous path of eruption and so become susceptible to impaction. The purpose of this study is, through a literature review, discuss the incidence, etiology, diagnosis, location and sequelae involved in impaction of permanent canines. In addition, alternative current treatments for this type of problem, and the periodontal effects caused by traction and prognosis of these cases will be described. Likewise, it will be addressed one case report of exposure impacted canine followed by bonding for later traction writh surgical-orthodontic interaction, the importance of the interaction of specialties, diagnosis, complementary tests and therapeutic approach addressed in this case. Soon, it becomes crucial, early diagnosis of canine impacted by the dentist, by methods of assessment by images of said tooth to conduct the case properly. One should also be aware of the limitations of each case and the types of treatment that can be performed.
