UTILIZAÇÃO DE UMA MATRIZ DE COLÁGENO PORCINO COMO ALTERNATIVA AOS ENXERTOS AUTÓGENOS NA TERAPIA MUCOGENGIVAL

Resumo


OBJETIVO: O principal objetivo da presente revisão de literatura foi analisar o uso do Mucograft®, uma matriz colágena porcina (MCP), como alternativa aos enxertos autógenos em procedimentos de terapia mucogengival. MATERIAL E MÉTODOS: A pesquisa bibliográfica foi realizada abrangendo artigos de revisão e pesquisa apurados na base de dados do Pubmed, Scielo, Medline e Odontosites, com os seguintes termos de busca: Mucograft, enxerto autógeno, matriz colágena porcina, terapia mucogengival. Foram utilizados artigos publicados entre os anos de 1972 e 2017, em português, inglês e espanhol. RESULTADOS: Os estudos revisados demonstraram que a substituição tecido autógeno pela MCP, tanto em casos de enxerto gengival livre, como de enxerto de tecido conjuntivo, promoveu resultados satisfatórios e semelhantes estatisticamente. CONCLUSÃO: A partir da pesquisa realizada, conclui-se que, a MCP é um potencial substituto aos enxertos autógenos em terapia mucogengival, necessitando, todavia, de mais estudos sobre sua utilização, já que está há pouco tempo no mercado.
