UTILIZA��O DE UMA MATRIZ DE COL�GENO PORCINO COMO ALTERNATIVA AOS ENXERTOS AUT�GENOS NA TERAPIA MUCOGENGIVAL

Resumo

OBJETIVO: O principal objetivo da presente revis�o de literatura foi analisar o uso do Mucograft�, uma matriz col�gena porcina (MCP), como alternativa aos enxertos aut�genos em procedimentos de terapia mucogengival. MATERIAL E M�TODOS: A pesquisa bibliogr�fica foi realizada abrangendo artigos de revis�o e pesquisa apurados na base de dados do Pubmed, Scielo, Medline e Odontosites, com os seguintes termos de busca: Mucograft, enxerto aut�geno, matriz col�gena porcina, terapia mucogengival. Foram utilizados artigos publicados entre os anos de 1972 e 2017, em portugu�s, ingl�s e espanhol. RESULTADOS: Os estudos revisados demonstraram que a substitui��o tecido aut�geno pela MCP, tanto em casos de enxerto gengival livre, como de enxerto de tecido conjuntivo, promoveu resultados satisfat�rios e semelhantes estatisticamente. CONCLUS�O: A partir da pesquisa realizada, conclui-se que, a MCP � um potencial substituto aos enxertos aut�genos em terapia mucogengival, necessitando, todavia, de mais estudos sobre sua utiliza��o, j� que est� h� pouco tempo no mercado.
