A Importância da Higienização das Próteses Implantossuportadas: Revisão da literatura
Resumo
A higienização representa um fator imprescindível para que se obtenha o sucesso dos implantes osseointegrados, podendo ser realizada de diversas maneiras e utilizando uma variedade de dispositivos. Assim sendo, o presente artigo teve como objetivo realizar uma revisão de literatura acerca da importância da higienização e adequada manutenção das próteses implantossuportadas, destacando as principais técnicas e dispositivos utilizados. Os indivíduos reabilitados com esse tipo de próteses devem ser constantemente motivados e orientados a higienizar tanto a peça protética quanto os implantes. Para isso devem ser utilizados dentifrícios e escovas dentais, além de escovas interdentais, fio dental e colutórios. Além do mais, consultas de rotina, ao menos a cada seis meses, são muito importantes, onde são oferecidas orientações cuidadosas e estabelecido um programa de orientação de higiene oral que se enquadre de maneira mais adequada para cada caso.
