REVASCULARIZAÇÃO PULPAR

Resumo


RESUMO

 

Tratar dentes necrosados e com rizogênese incompleta é um desafio que apresenta prognóstico duvidoso em função da longevidade, uma vez que as raízes permanecem frágeis, aumentando o risco de fratura. Dessa forma, fez-se necessário a realização de novas pesquisas em busca de um tratamento que permita a continuidade do desenvolvimento radicular, surgindo assim a revascularização pulpar, que proporciona condições para completo desenvolvimento radicular e fechamento apical. É de suma importância compreender o mecanismo de ação da revascularização, suas vantagens e desvantagens sobre os métodos convencionais e sua efetividade como tratamento. Este trabalho buscou por meio de uma revisão de literatura em diferentes bases de dados publicações sobre o tema entre os anos 2007 e 2017. Existe um grande número de protocolos descritos que variam de acordo com a solução irrigadora, número de sessões e quanto à medicação intracanal. A revascularização pode ser considerada um tratamento promissor e viável, entretanto, ainda são necessárias pesquisas que esclareçam melhor a constituição do tecido formado e o resultado clínico a longo prazo, além da busca de evidência para adoção de um protocolo clínico padronizado que permita a sua realização com segurança.

ABSTRACT:

 

Treatment of necrotic teeth with incomplete rhizogenesis is a challenge that presents doubtful prognostic due to the longevity, since the roots remain fragile, increasing the fracture risks. Therefore, the need to perform new researches looking for a new treatment that allows the continued root development has given rise to the pulp revascularization, which promotes conditions for complete root development and apical closure. It is paramount to understand the mechanism of action of revascularization and its strengths and weakness compared to conventional methods, as well as its effectivity as a treatment. This article represents a literature review about the subject by searching in some databases publications between the years 2007 and 2017. There are a great number of described protocols varying according to the irrigating solution, number of visits and regarding the intracanal medication. The revascularization may be considered as a promising and viable treatment; however there is still a need for new researches that better explain the formed tissues constitution, and long-term clinical results. In addition, the search for evidences in adopting a standard clinical protocol allowing it to be performed safely is also needed
